Removal of chromium(VI) from aqueous solutions by polymer inclusion membranes.

TL;DR: The transport through polymer inclusion membranes (PIMs) was found as the effective and selective method of chromium(VI) anions removal from chloride acidic aqueous solutions to show a linear decrease of permeability coefficient and initial flux values with source phase pH increase.
Journal ArticleDOI

Applicability of liquid membranes in chromium(VI) transport with amines as ion carriers

TL;DR: Chromium(VI) transport across supported liquid membranes (SLMs) and polymer inclusion membranes (PIMs) with tertiary amines and quaternary ammonium salt (Aliquat 336) from chloride acidic aqueous solution to 0.1 M NaOH has been studied as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Removal of chromium(III) from acidic aqueous solution by polymer inclusion membranes with D2EHPA and Aliquat 336

TL;DR: In this article, a facilitated transport of chromium(III) through a polymer inclusion membrane (PIM) containing 2-ethylhexylphosphonic acid (D2EHPA) as an ion carrier and tricaprylylmethylammonium chloride (Aliquat 336) as a plasticizer was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Application of hydrophobic β-cyclodextrin polymer in separation of metal ions by plasticized membranes

TL;DR: In this paper, the hydrophobic β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) polymers have been used as macrocyclic ion carriers for separation of metal ions from dilute aqueous solutions by transport across polymer inclusion membranes.
