High-temperature Rheological Behavior and Fatigue Performance of Lignin Modified Asphalt Binder

TL;DR: In this article, the authors introduced lignin as a bio-additive to modify the base asphalt and investigated the high-temperature rheological performances of lignins modified asphalts and virgin asphalt.
Journal ArticleDOI

Normalization of fatigue characteristics for asphalt mixtures under different stress states

TL;DR: In this paper, a normalization model of fatigue characteristics for asphalt mixtures under different stress states was established based on the yield criterion in 3D stress states and the patterns of variation between the strength and the loading rate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement and modeling of skid resistance of asphalt pavement: A review

TL;DR: A review of the repeatability and harmonization of field-testing methods for macrotexture is outlined in this article, and the gap between lab test and field test for skid resistance should be bridged to realize more accurate estimation of pavement frictional properties in the phase of lab design.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparisons of synchronous measurement methods on various moduli of asphalt mixtures

TL;DR: In this article, two new test methods were proposed to measure the different moduli of asphalt mixtures simultaneously based on four-point bending and indirect tensile tests, and the results of tensile and compressive moduli from the two new methods were compared with the direct tension moduli tests and unconfined compression modulus tests.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fatigue equation for asphalt mixture under low temperature and low loading frequency conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used four-point bending beam tests of strength and fatigue to reveal the thermal fatigue behavior of asphalt mixtures under low temperature conditions, and the results showed that the flexural strength expressed a power function on the pattern of variation with the loading rates.
