Journal ArticleDOI
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Multiplets in Liquids
TL;DR: In this paper, the number and relative intensities of the components of a multiplet were determined by the number of and statistical weights of the various nuclear spin orientations of the nuclei causing the splitting.
Journal ArticleDOI
Exact Dimer Ground State and Quantized Magnetization Plateaus in the Two-Dimensional Spin System SrCu 2 ( BO 3 ) 2
Hiroshi Kageyama,Hiroshi Kageyama,K. Yoshimura,K. Yoshimura,Raivo Stern,N.V. Mushnikov,K. Onizuka,Masako Kato,K. Kosuge,Charles P. Slichter,T. Goto,Y. Ueda +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a 2D spin-gap system for polycrystalline Cu dimers with a two-dimensional (2D) orthogonal network of dimers was proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nuclear spin relaxation in normal and superconducting aluminum
L. C. Hebel,Charles P. Slichter +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation times in normal and superconducting Al from 0.94 to 4.2 K, and as a function of static field in the normal state.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Note on the Fluorine Resonance Shifts
A. Saika,Charles P. Slichter +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a theoretical analysis of the fluorine magnetic resonance shifts in molecules is given, and it is shown that the large range of shifts among different fluorine compounds arises from the effects of binding on the magnetic fields at the nucleus produced by the orbital motion of the electrons in the unfilled valence shell.
