A Network-Based Bioinformatics Approach to Identify Molecular Biomarkers for Type 2 Diabetes that Are Linked to the Progression of Neurological Diseases

TL;DR: Neighborhood-based benchmarking and multilayer network topology methods identified novel putative biomarkers that indicate how type 2 diabetes (T2D) and these neurological diseases interact and pathways that, in the future, may be targeted for treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

The occurrence, origin and fate of water in chromitites in ophiolites

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present petrological investigations and mineral chemistry of several Tethyan ophiolites to reveal the occurrence, origin, and fate of water in podiform chromitites.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bioinformatics Methodologies to Identify Interactions Between Type 2 Diabetes and Neurological Comorbidities

TL;DR: A framework to explore possible comorbidity interactions between a pair of diseases using a bioinformatic examination of the cellular pathways involved is proposed and generated new insights into disease mechanisms important for both T2D and NDs that may mediate their interaction.

Genetic effect of Type 2 diabetes to the progression of neurological diseases

TL;DR: A genetic association and diseasome network of T2D and NDs based on the neighborhood-based benchmarking and multilayer network topology approaches is developed and therapeutic targets aimed at attenuating identified altered pathway could ameliorate neurological dysfunction in a T1D patient.
