Journal ArticleDOI
Modular organization of SARS coronavirus nucleocapsid protein
Chung-ke Chang,Shih Che Sue,Tsan Hung Yu,Chiu Min Hsieh,Cheng Kun Tsai,Cheng Kun Tsai,Yen Chieh Chiang,Shin Jye Lee,Hsin Hao Hsiao,Wen-Jin Wu,Wei Lun Chang,Chun-Hung Lin,Tai Huang Huang,Tai Huang Huang +13 more
TL;DR: This study provides information on the domain structure partition of SARS-CoV N protein and insights into the differing roles of structured and disordered regions in coronavirus nucleocapsid proteins.
Journal ArticleDOI
The dimer interface of the SARS coronavirus nucleocapsid protein adapts a porcine respiratory and reproductive syndrome virus-like structure.
Chung-ke Chang,Shih Che Sue,Tsan Hung Yu,Chiu Min Hsieh,Cheng Kun Tsai,Cheng Kun Tsai,Yen Chieh Chiang,Shin Jye Lee,Hsin Hao Hsiao,Wen-Jin Wu,Chi-Fon Chang,Tai Huang Huang,Tai Huang Huang +12 more
TL;DR: The dimer interface consists of a continuous four‐stranded β‐sheet superposed by two long α helices, reminiscent of that found in the nucleocapsid protein of porcine respiratory and reproductive syndrome virus.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of N-terminal and Met23 mutations on the structure and dynamics of onconase.
TL;DR: Comparison of the 15N HSQC spectrum of the nONC with that of a mutant E1S-rONC showed that N-terminal and residue 23 mutations induced structural changes in regions beyond the mutation sites, which may account for the previously observed reduced stability and increased protease susceptibility.
