Remarks on Some Fixed Point Theorems

Several iterative methods have been proposed in the literature for solving the variational inequalities in Hilbert or Banach spaces, where the underlying operator A is monotone and Lipschitz continuous. However, there are very few methods known for solving the variational inequalities, when the Lipschitz continuity of A is dispensed with. In this article, we introduce a projection-type algorithm for finding a common solution of the variational inequalities and fixed point problem in a reflexive Banach space, where A is pseudo-monotone and not necessarily Lipschitz continuous. Also, we present an application of our result to approximating solution of pseudo-monotone equilibrium problem in a reflexive Banach space. Finally, we present some numerical examples to illustrate the performance of our method as well as comparing it with related method in the literature.

Modified inertial subgradient extragradient method with self adaptive stepsize for solving monotone variational inequality and fixed point problems

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce a new mapping given by a finite family of generalized strictly pseudononspreading mappings. Also, we introduce a viscosity-type proximal point algorithm and prove its strong convergence to a common solution of a finite family of monotone inclusion problems and fixed point problem for the new mapping in a complete CAT(0) space. A numerical experiment is presented to illustrate the performance of our method as well as comparing it with some related methods in the literature. Our numerical experiment shows that our algorithm converges faster than that proposed by Takahashi and Shimoji (Math Comput Model 32:1463–1471, 2000) and Ugwunnadi et al. (Afr Mat 30(1–2):151–169, 2019).

Iterative algorithm for a family of generalized strictly pseudononspreading mappings in CAT(0) spaces

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce the concept of modified inertial algorithm in Hadamard spaces. We emphasize that, as far as we know, this is the first time that this concept is being considered in this setting. Under some weak assumptions, we prove that the modified inertial algorithm converges strongly to a common solution of a finite family of mixed equilibrium problems and fixed point problem of a nonexpansive mapping. We also give a primary numerical illustration in the framework of Hadamard spaces, to show the efficiency of the modified inertial term in our proposed algorithm.

We introduce a new type of (?, ?)-admissibility and (?, ?)-Z-contraction mappings in the frame work of Gb-metric spaces. Using these concepts, fixed point results for (?, ?)-Z-contraction mappings in the frame work of complete Gb-metric spaces are established. As an application, we discuss the existence of solution for integral equation of the form: x(t) = g(t) + ?10 K(t, s, u(s))ds, t ? [0, 1], O. T. Mewomowhere K : [0, 1]×[0, 1]×R ? R and g : [0, 1] ? R are continuous functions. The results obtained in this paper generalize, unify and improve the results of Liu et al., [19], Antonio-Francisco et al. [25], Khojasteh et al. [16], Kumar et al. [18] and others in this direction.
