Highly Selective Chemical Vapor Deposition of Tin Diselenide Thin Films onto Patterned Substrates via Single Source Diselenoether Precursors
C.H. de Groot,Chitra Gurnani,Andrew L. Hector,Ruomeng Huang,Marek Jura,William Levason,Gillian Reid +6 more
TL;DR: The distorted octahedral complexes [snCl4{nBuSe(CH2)nSenBu}] as discussed by the authors, obtained from reaction of SnCl4 with the neutral bidentate ligands and characterized by IR/Raman and multinuclear (1H, 77Se{1H} and 119Sn) NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography, serve as very effective single source precursors for low pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD) of microcrystalline, single phase tin diselenide films onto SiO2
Journal ArticleDOI
Tin(II) fluoride vs. tin(II) chloride--a comparison of their coordination chemistry with neutral ligands
TL;DR: X-ray structures of SnF2 adducts and diphosphine complexes obtained from the attempts to synthesise phosphine complexes reveal trigonal pyramidal Sn(II) cores with longer fluorine bridges completing distorted 5- or 6-coordination, and the synthesis of [SnCl2(R3EO)2] has very asymmetric diph phosphine coordination best described as κ(1).
Journal ArticleDOI
Telluroether and Selenoether Complexes as Single Source Reagents for Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition of Crystalline Ga2Te3 and Ga2Se3 Thin Films
Kathryn George,C.H. de Groot,Chitra Gurnani,Andrew L. Hector,Ruomeng Huang,Marek Jura,William Levason,Gillian Reid +7 more
TL;DR: The neutral complexes [GaCl3(EnBu2] as discussed by the authors ] and [GCl3]2{tBuTe(CH2)3TetBu} have been shown to have distorted tetrahedral coordination at Ga.
Journal ArticleDOI
Controlling the nanostructure of bismuth telluride by selective chemical vapour deposition from a single source precursor
Sophie L. Benjamin,C.H. de Groot,Chitra Gurnani,Andrew L. Hector,Ruomeng Huang,Elena Koukharenko,William Levason,Gillian Reid +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, high quality, nanostructured Bi2Te3, with an unprecedented degree of positional and orientational control of the material form on the nanoscale, is readily obtained by low pressure chemical vapour deposition using a new molecular precursor.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterisation and structures of thio-, seleno- and telluro-ether complexes of gallium(III)
TL;DR: The reactions of GaX3 with SMe2, SeMe2 and TeMe2 in non-coordinating solvents produces only the pseudo-tetrahedral [GaX3L], which is consistent with the weaker Lewis acidity of the gallium as the halide co-ligands become heavier.
