Journal ArticleDOI

Chromogenic anion sensors.

TL;DR: In this review, 6 types of chromogenic anion sensors are described, namely, NH-based hydrogen bonding, Lewis acid, metal-ion template, transition metal complexes, chromogenic guest displacement and chromoreactands.
Journal ArticleDOI

Imidazolylmethylpyrene sensor for dual optical detection of explosive chemical: 2,4,6-Trinitrophenol

TL;DR: In this article, a colorimetric sensor based on 1-imidazolylmethylpyrene (IMPY) was found to be a specific recognition for an explosive chemical: 2,4,6-trinitrophenol or picric acid.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-cytotoxic hybrid bioscaffolds of chitosan-silica: Sol-gel synthesis, characterization and proposed application.

TL;DR: The results revealed that the hybrid scaffolds exhibited a rapid induction of calcium phosphate mineral without cytotoxicity effect, reflecting an excellent in vitro bone bioactivity which was superior to the pure chitosan scaffold.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new heteroditopic receptor and sensor highly selective for bromide in the presence of a bound cation

TL;DR: The heteroditopic receptor 2 containing a crown ether and amidoferrocence groups was synthesized and the binding abilities with various anions were reported in the presence and absence of metal cations as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

New polymeric membrane cadmium(II)-selective electrodes using tripodal amine based ionophores.

TL;DR: The proposed electrodes using ionophores III and IV were employed as a probe for determining Cd(2+) from the oxidation of CdS QDs solution and the real treatment waste water sample with excellent results.
