Magmatic and metamorphic events during the early Paleozoic Wuyi-Yunkai orogeny, southeastern South China: New age constraints and pressure-temperature conditions
Zheng-Xiang Li,Xian-Hua Li,Jo-Anne Wartho,Chris D. Clark,Wu-Xian Li,Chuan-Lin Zhang,Chaomin Bao +6 more
TL;DR: The early Paleozoic Wuyi-Yunkai orogen in South China is a major orogenic belt in East Asia that formed at a similar time as the classic Caledonian orogeny in Europe as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mega-scale glacial lineations and cross-cutting ice-flow landforms
TL;DR: In this article, the authors reveal a previously unsuspected large-scale pattern of streamlining within drift that is assumed to reflect former phases of ice flow, referred to as mega-scale glacial lineations, and a distinctive cross-cutting topology within the grain.
Journal ArticleDOI
A full-plate global reconstruction of the Neoproterozoic
Andrew Merdith,Andrew Merdith,Alan S. Collins,Simon Williams,Sergei Pisarevsky,John Foden,Donnelly B. Archibald,Donnelly B. Archibald,Morgan L. Blades,Brandon L. Alessio,Sheree Armistead,Diana Plavsa,Chris D. Clark,R. Dietmar Müller +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, a full-plate, topological model of the Neoproterozoic that maps the evolution of the tectonic plate configurations during this time is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pattern and timing of retreat of the last British-Irish Ice Sheet
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reconstruct the demise of the British-Irish Ice Sheet (BIIS) and present palaeo-glaciological maps of retreat stages between 27 and 15 ka BP.
