TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared femoral and subclavian venous catheterization sites in 8 intensive care units (ICUs) in France and found that femoral catheterisation was associated with a higher incidence rate of overall infectious complications and major infectious complications, as well as of overall thrombotic complications.
