Towards low latency live streaming: challenges in a real-world deployment

TL;DR: Results illustrate that replacing the transport stream (.ts) format with fragmented MP4 (.fMP4) and shortening segments' duration reduces live latency significantly, and some useful steps for achieving low latency live video streaming are revealed.
Book ChapterDOI

Metadata-based Content Management and Sharing System for Improved User Experience

TL;DR: This paper presents a UPnP A/V-based system for managing and sharing audio/visual content in home environments which is configurable to the user’s preferences and depicts how this system can be used to improve the user experience by using MPEG-V.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Secure Reversible Data Hiding in Encrypted Images based on Classification Encryption Difference

TL;DR: In this paper , an algorithm to improve the security, efficiency, and embedding capacity of reversible data hiding in encrypted images (RDH-EI) was proposed. But the embedding threshold range was not defined, and the secret data was embedded in multiple most significant bits of the encoded difference.

Metadata-Based Content Management and Sharing System for Improved User Experience

TL;DR: In this article, a UPnP A/V-based system for managing and sharing audio/visual content in home environments is presented, which is configurable to the user's preferences.
Journal ArticleDOI

Just Noticeable Difference-aware Per-Scene Bitrate-laddering for Adaptive Video Streaming

TL;DR: In this article , a Just Noticeable Difference (JND)-aware per-scene bitrate ladder prediction scheme (JASLA) was proposed for adaptive video-on-demand streaming applications.
