Surface-Emitting Distributed Feedback Lasing Based on Multilayer Polymer Films

TL;DR: In this paper, the fabrication of a multilayer all-polymer surface emitting distributed feedback dye laser has been described and the output power, emission spectrum, and threshold for various designs are described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Plasticization of a Semicrystalline Metallosupramolecular Polymer Network

TL;DR: In this paper , a semicrystalline, stimuli-responsive metallosupramolecular polymers (MSPs) network was assembled by combining a low-molecular-weight building block carrying three 2,6-bis(1′-methylbenzimidazolyl) pyridine (Mebip) ligands and zinc bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide (Zn(NTf2)2).

Charge-Transfer Complex Precursors

TL;DR: In this article, the deformation of poly(urea-formaldehyde) microcapsules with toluene and either hexamethylbenezene as donor or chloranil as acceptor was shown to rupture when placed under mechanical forces such that the donor and the acceptor are released into the polymeric matrix, where their combination to a charge transfer complex results in a pronounced yellow-to-red color change.
Journal ArticleDOI

Closed-loop Recycling of Vinylogous Urethane Vitrimers.

TL;DR: In this paper , a case study is presented in which demonstrates that Vinylogous urethane (VU) vitrimers synthesized from bis-polyethylene glycol acetoacetates (aPEG) and tris(2-aminoethyl)amine can be degraded by water at moderate temperature with almost quantitative recovery (~98%) of aPEG.
