Study on degradation of nitrobenzene in groundwater using emulsified nano-zero-valent iron

TL;DR: In this paper, an emulsified nano-zero-valent iron (EZVI) was prepared by coating an emulsion membrane on the surface of Fe nanoparticles and batch experiments were conducted in anaerobic conditions to investigate the kinetics of nitrobenzene reduction by EZVI.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of geochemical constituents on the zero‐valent iron reductive removal of nitrobenzene in groundwater

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of geochemical compositions on reductive removal of nitrobenzene by zero-valent iron (ZVI) in groundwater were investigated, and the results showed that the kinetics of reduction by ZVI was a pseudo-first order with an observed rate constant, kobs, of 3.67 × 10−4/s.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of phosphorous on the stabilization of solid waste in anaerobic landfill

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the effects of activated sludge and phosphorous addition on the stabilization of solid waste in anaerobic landfill and found that phosphorous is the limiting nutrients in the landfill leachate.
