Journal ArticleDOI
Surface-Plasmon-Enhanced Light-Emitting Diodes†
Min-Ki Kwon,Ja Yeon Kim,Baek Hyun Kim,Il-Kyu Park,Chu-Young Cho,Clare C. Byeon,Seong-Ju Park +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the surface plasmons (SPs) have attracted much attentions because optical properties can be greatly enhanced by coupling between SPs and the multiple quantum wells (MQWs) in light-emitting diodes(LEDs).
Journal ArticleDOI
Tumor regression in vivo by photothermal therapy based on gold-nanorod-loaded, functional nanocarriers.
TL;DR: A very effective hyperthermia system for successful photothermal cancer therapy and apparently complete tumor resorption was achieved without damage to the surrounding tissue, suggesting a promising candidate for clinical phototherapeutic applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancement of the external quantum efficiency of a silicon quantum dot light-emitting diode by localized surface plasmons
Baek Hyun Kim,Chang-Hee Cho,Jin Soo Mun,Min-Ki Kwon,Tae-Young Park,Jong Su Kim,Clare C. Byeon,Jongmin Lee,Seong-Ju Park +8 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Directional control of surface plasmon polariton waves propagating through an asymmetric Bragg resonator
Soo Bong Choi,Soo Bong Choi,Doo Jae Park,Doo Jae Park,Young-Gyun Jeong,Y. C. Yun,Mun Seok Jeong,Clare C. Byeon,Ji-Hun Kang,Q.-Han Park,Dongmok Kim +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrated the directional control of surface plasmon polariton (SPP) waves propagating through an asymmetric PLASmonic Bragg resonator using femtosecond temporal-phase control via the resonant coupling of SPPs and the interference of the SPPs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Luminescence and structural properties of Y(Ta,Nb)O4:Eu3+,Tb3+ phosphors
Ivan Arellano,Mihail Nazarov,Clare C. Byeon,Elisabeth-Jeanne Popovici,Hyo Jung Kim,Hyon Chol Kang,Do Young Noh +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the structural and luminescence properties of rare earth activated phosphors were investigated using X-ray diffraction and Xray excitation luminecence in order to study their structural properties.
