Adsorption of diclofenac onto organoclays: Effects of surfactant and environmental (pH and temperature) conditions

TL;DR: The thermodynamic parameters derived from the fitting procedure point out the strong electrostatic interaction with organic cations adsorbed within the interlayer space in the organoclays for the adsorption of diclofenac.
Journal ArticleDOI

Differences in the volatile compositions of French labeled brandies (Armagnac, Calvados, Cognac, and Mirabelle) using GC-MS and PLS-DA.

TL;DR: A total of 207 volatile compounds were identified in extracts of four French labeled brandies: Armagnac, Cognac, Calvados, and Mirabelle, and the most important difference between the two wine-based samples seemed to be directly linked to the distillation system used.
Journal ArticleDOI

Occurrence and removal efficiency of pharmaceuticals in an urban wastewater treatment plant: Mass balance, fate and consumption assessment

TL;DR: The occurrence of 15 pharmaceutically active compounds (PACs) in an urban wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) was assessed in both influent and effluent samples by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sedimentary cannabinol tracks the history of hemp retting

TL;DR: In this paper, a trace of cannabinol (CBN) was detected in sedimentary records from a lake in the French Massif Central covering the past 1800 yr. The presence of this molecule in the sedimentary record is related to retting.
