Journal ArticleDOI

IrO2 Coated on RuO2 as Efficient and Stable Electroactive Nanocatalysts for Electrochemical Water Splitting

TL;DR: In this paper, a core-shell-like IrO2-covered RuO2 nanocatalyst was synthesized by using a surface modification/precipitation method in ethanol medium.
Journal ArticleDOI

NMR heteronuclear correlation between quadrupolar nuclei in solids.

TL;DR: It is shown for the first time that it is possible to acquire high-resolution heteronuclear NMR correlation experiments in solid state between second-order-broadened half integer quadrupolar nuclei (i.e., 27Al and 17O) using the scalar J-coupling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electroactivity of RuO2–IrO2 mixed nanocatalysts toward the oxygen evolution reaction in a water electrolyzer supplied by a solar profile

TL;DR: In this article, pure crystalline ruthenium-iridium oxide materials were synthesized with high surface area by co-precipitation method in ethanol medium and cyclic and linear scan voltammetries were then undertaken to evaluate the effect of mixing iridium and ruthensium oxides on the oxygen evolution reaction (OER).
Journal ArticleDOI

One MAX phase, different MXenes: a guideline to understand the crucial role of etching conditions on Ti3C2Tx surface chemistry

TL;DR: In this article, the authors highlight how etching agents govern surface chemistries of Ti3C2Tx, the most widely studied MXene to date, and demonstrate that the etching agent strongly modifies the nature of surface terminal groups (F, OH and/or O), oxidation sensitivity, delamination ability, nature of inserted species, interstratification, concentration of defects and size of flakes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Glycerol oxidation on nickel based nanocatalysts in alkaline medium - Identification of the reaction products

TL;DR: In this article, carbon supported nickel based nanoparticles were prepared by impregnation method and used as anode electrocatalysts for the glycerol conversion, which were then deposited onto the surface of carbon Toray used as a conductive substrate.
