Optimised photocatalytic degradation of a mixture of azo dyes using a TiO2/H2O2/UV process

TL;DR: This photocatalytic process has promise as an alternative for the treatment of textile effluents as well as a pseudo-first kinetic order model, with a kinetic rate constant of approximately 0.018 min(-1).
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification and validation of single nucleotide polymorphisms as tools to detect hybridization and population structure in freshwater stingrays.

TL;DR: Single nucleotide polymorphism markers were identified and validated for two stingrays species, Potamotrygon motoro and PotamOTrygon falkneri, using double digest restriction‐site associated DNA (ddRAD) reads using 454‐Roche technology, thus being useful for population analyses and hybrid detection.

Cytogenetic and dna content studies of armored catfishes of the genus corydoras (pisces, siluriformes, callichthyidae) from the southeast coast of brazil

TL;DR: UNIV ESTADUAL PAULISTA JULIO MESQUITA FILHO,INST BIOCIENCIAS,DEPT MORFOL,CAMPUS BOTUCATU,BR-18618 BOTucatU,SP, Brazil.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fatty acids and nutrients in the flour made from tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) heads

TL;DR: It is concluded that tilapia head flour offers high levels of protein, total lipids, and ash (minerals) and can be used as a low-cost raw material for food fit for human consumption.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multicommutation in flow analysis. Part 4. Computer-assisted splitting for spectrophotometric determination of copper and zinc in plants

TL;DR: In this paper, an improved splitting process in flow analysis accomplished by means of a computer controlled three-way solenoid valve is proposed, which is located at the splitting site, and defines the flow pattern and the portions of the processed sample delivered to each emergent stream.
