Manifestation of clustering in the 252Cf(sf) and 249Cf(nth,f) reactions
Yu. V. Pyatkov,V.V. Pashkevich,Yu. E. Penionzhkevich,V. G. Tishchenko,A. V. Unzhakova,H.-G. Ortlepp,P. Gippner,Claus-Michael Herbach,W. Wagner +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a comparative analysis of the high-statistics mass-energy distributions of the fission fragments formed in the 252 Cf(sf) and 249 Cf(n th,f) reactions is performed on the basis of the potential energy surface calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Charged-particle evaporation and pre-equilibrium emission in 1.2 GeV proton-induced spallation reactions

K. Roemer,Guntram Pausch,Claus-Michael Herbach,Yong Kong,Ralf Lentering,Cristina Plettner,Juergen Stein,Marek Moszynski,Lukasz Swiderski,Tomasz Szczesniak +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a modified Compton Coincidence Technique (CCT) is used to measure the energy resolution of Compton cameras for remote localization and identification of radio nuclides.
Journal ArticleDOI
A combination of two 4π detectors for neutrons and charged particles.: Part I. The Berlin neutron ball—a neutron multiplicity meter and a reaction detector
U. Jahnke,Claus-Michael Herbach,D. Hilscher,V. Tishchenko,J. Galin,A. Letourneau,B. Lott,A. Péghaire,Frank Goldenbaum,L. Pienkowski +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, two 4π detectors for neutrons and charged particles have been combined for the investigation of GeV-proton and antiproton induced spallation reactions.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Concept study of a two-plane Compton camera designed for location and nuclide identification of remote radiation sources
Claus-Michael Herbach,Andrey Gueorguiev,Yong Kong,Ralf Lentering,Guntram Pausch,Cristina Plettner,Juergen Stein +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a two-plane planar Compton camera, consisting of scintillation detector elements, is presented for operation in the scatter and/or absorption plane, and the performance of the Compton camera is optimized by means of Monte Carlo simulations to meet the requirements for Homeland Security applications.
