Journal ArticleDOI
Two-particle correlations at small relative momenta for 40Ar-induced reactions on 197Au at E/A=60 MeV.
J. Pochodzalla,C. K. Gelbke,W. G. Lynch,M.R. Maier,D. Ardouin,H. Delagrange,H. Doubre,C. Grégoire,A. Kyanowski,W. Mittig,A. Péghaire,Jean Péter,F. Saint-Laurent,B. Zwieglinski,G. Bizard,F. Lefebvres,Bernard Tamain,J. Québert,Y. P. Viyogi,W. A. Friedman,David H. Boal +20 more
TL;DR: These findings are consistent with an expanding nuclear system which disintegrates at low temperature and rather low density and within the framework of the quantum statistical model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neutron production in bombardments of thin and thick W, Hg, Pb targets by 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, 1.8 and 2.5 GeV protons
A. Letourneau,J. Galin,F. Goldenbaum,B. Lott,A. Péghaire,M. Enke,D. Hilscher,U. Jahnke,K. Nünighoff,Detlef Filges,R.-D. Neef,N. Paul,H. Schaal,G. Sterzenbach,A. Tietze +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, experimental data relevant to the design of the target of neutron spallation sources are presented and discussed, including the reaction cross-sections for W, Hg and Pb investigated with 0.4, 0.8, 1.2 and 2.5 GeV proton beams as well as the neutron production, neutron multiplicity distribution, as determined event per event using a high efficiency detector.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mass measurement of light neutron-rich fragmentation products
A. Gillibert,L. Bianchi,A. Cunsolo,B. Fernandez,A. Foti,J. Gastebois,Ch. Gregoire,W. Mittig,A. Péghaire,Y. Schutz,Christoph A. Stephan +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, direct mass measurements of nitrogen, oxygen and fluorine neutron-rich isotopes were performed using the GANIL facility and the new magnetic spectrometer SPEG.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nuclear temperatures and the population of particle-unstable states of 6Li in 40Ar-induced reactions on 197Au at E/A=60 MeV.
J. Pochodzalla,W.A. Friedman,C. K. Gelbke,W. G. Lynch,M.R. Maier,D. Ardouin,H. Delagrange,H. Doubre,C. Grégoire,A. Kyanowski,W. Mittig,A. Péghaire,Jean Péter,F. Saint-Laurent,Y. P. Viyogi,B. Zwieglinski,G. Bizard,F. Lefebvres,Bernard Tamain,J. Québert +19 more
TL;DR: Correlations between coincident alpha particles and deuterons emitted in induced reactions on Au at E/A=60 MeV were measured andLimitations of temperature measurements via the population of excited states are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
The decay of primary products in binary highly damped 208Pb + 197Au collisions at 29 MeV/u☆
J.F. Lecolley,L. Stuttge,M. Aboufirassi,A. Badala,B. Bilwes,R. Bougault,R. Brou,F. Cosmo,J. Colin,D. Durand,J. Galin,A. Genoux-Lubain,D. Guerreau,D. Horn,D. Jacquet,J.L. Laville,F. Lefebvres,C. Le Brun,J. Lemière,O. Lopez,M. Louvel,M. Mahi,M. Morjean,C. Paulot,A. Péghaire,N. Prot,G. Rudolf,F. Scheibling,J.C. Steckmeyer,B. Tamain,S. Tomasevic +30 more
TL;DR: In this article, events with fragment multiplicities up to eight have been detected with a large detector array in Pb + Au reactions at 29 MeV/u and all collisions show a binary character irrespective of a possible further disassembly of the two highly excited primary partners.
