Associations between burnout symptoms and social behaviour: exploring the role of acute stress and vagal function
Magdalena K. Wekenborg,LaBarron K. Hill,Pia Grabbe,Julian F. Thayer,Clemens Kirschbaum,Susan Lindenlaub,Ralf Arne Wittling,Bernadette von Dawans +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the link between burnout symptoms and prosocial behaviour, as well as the role of acute stress and vagally-mediated heart rate variability (vmHRV) on this association.
Journal ArticleDOI
Maternal hair cortisol concentrations and its association with increased insulin resistance in mid-pregnancy.
Diana L Juvinao-Quintero,Gloria T. Larrabure-Torrealva,Sixto E. Sanchez,Clemens Kirschbaum,Michelle A. Williams,Bizu Gelaye +5 more
TL;DR: In this article , the association of hair cortisol concentrations (HCC), a marker of chronic stress, with insulin resistance and gestational diabetes (GDM) was evaluated, where multivariable linear and logistic regression models mutually adjusted for putative risk factors, including maternal sociodemographic factors, diabetes history, and hair characteristics, were used to estimate the association.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrigendum to “Associations of saliva cortisol and hair cortisol with generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and major depressive disorder: An epidemiological cohort study in adolescents and young adults” [Psychoneuroendocrinology 126 (2021)]
Hanna Kische,Theresa Magdalena Ollmann,Catharina Voss,Jana Hoyer,F. Rückert,Lars Pieper,Clemens Kirschbaum,Katja Beesdo-Baum +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
P.192 The association between stress-induced changes in prefrontal GABA levels and heart rate variability: a 7T 1H-MRS study
Antonia Kaiser,Liesbeth Reneman,Paul J. Lucassen,Anne Marije Kaag,W. Van der Zwaag,T. Jurhar,Clemens Kirschbaum,O. A. Van den Heuvel,E. J. Hermans,H. L. Tan +9 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Is hypercortisolism in anorexia nervosa detectable using hair samples
Franziska Ritschel,Sabine Clas,Daniel Geisler,Verena Haas,Maria Seidel,Julius Steding,Veit Roessner,Clemens Kirschbaum,Stefan Ehrlich +8 more
TL;DR: HCC did not reflect the expected hypercortisolism in acAN and did not decrease during short-term weight-restoration, and time-corresponding measurements of UCC and HCC were not consistently associated in the longitudinal analysis of acAN undergoing inpatient treatment.
