Journal ArticleDOI
A high-density Diversity Arrays Technology (DArT) microarray for genome-wide genotyping in Eucalyptus
Carolina Sansaloni,Carolina Sansaloni,Cesar Petroli,Cesar Petroli,Jason Carling,Corey J. Hudson,Dorothy A. Steane,Alexander Andrew Myburg,Dario Grattapaglia,Dario Grattapaglia,Dario Grattapaglia,René E. Vaillancourt,Andrzej Kilian +12 more
TL;DR: This operational DArT array will deliver 1,000-2,000 polymorphic markers for linkage mapping in most eucalypt pedigrees and thus provide high genome coverage and will also provide a high-throughput platform for population genetics and phylogenetics in EucalyPTus.
Journal ArticleDOI
High synteny and colinearity among Eucalyptus genomes revealed by high-density comparative genetic mapping
Corey J. Hudson,Anand Raj Kumar Kullan,Jules S. Freeman,Danielle A. Faria,Dario Grattapaglia,Dario Grattapaglia,Andrzej Kilian,Alexander Andrew Myburg,Brad M. Potts,René E. Vaillancourt +9 more
TL;DR: The overall high level of synteny and colinearity observed between section Maidenaria–Latoangulatae suggests that the genomes of these species are highly conserved indicating that sequence information from the E. grandis genome will be highly transferable to related Symphyomyrtus species.
Journal ArticleDOI
A reference linkage map for Eucalyptus
Corey J. Hudson,Jules S. Freeman,Jules S. Freeman,Anand Raj Kumar Kullan,Cesar Petroli,Carolina Sansaloni,Andrzej Kilian,Frank Detering,Dario Grattapaglia,Dario Grattapaglia,Brad M. Potts,Alexander Andrew Myburg,René E. Vaillancourt +12 more
TL;DR: The composite map represents the most saturated linkage map yet produced in Eucalyptus and provides a direct link to the E. grandis genome sequence and will serve as an important reference for progressing eucalyPT research.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic Control of Heterochrony in Eucalyptus globulus
Corey J. Hudson,Jules S. Freeman,Jules S. Freeman,Rebecca C. Jones,Brad M. Potts,Melissa M L Wong,James L. Weller,Valérie Hecht,R. Scott Poethig,René E. Vaillancourt +9 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that changes in the expression of miR156 underlie natural variation in vegetative phase change in E. globulus, and may also explain interspecific differences in the timing of this developmental transition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genome-wide variation in recombination rate in Eucalyptus
Jean-Marc Gion,Corey J. Hudson,Isabelle Lesur,René E. Vaillancourt,Brad M. Potts,Jules S. Freeman +5 more
TL;DR: Interestingly, the differences amongst chromosomes in recombination rates appear stable across Eucalyptus species, and it is argued this is likely to reflect the interaction of selection and specific genome architecture of Eucaliptus.
