Optimization of surface roughness, cutting force and tool wear of nitrogen alloyed duplex stainless steel in a dry turning process using Taguchi method
TL;DR: In this paper, the dry turning parameters of two different grades of nitrogen alloyed duplex stainless steel are optimized by using Taguchi method and the results revealed that the feed rate is the more significant parameter influencing the surface roughness and cutting force.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of nano TiO2 particles on microhardness and microstructural behavior of AA7068 metal matrix composites
TL;DR: In this paper, the fabrication of AA7068 composites reinforced with different percentages of Nano TiO 2 (3, 6 and 9 wt%) using powder metallurgy technique along with as sintered AA 7068 material.
Journal ArticleDOI
A review on polymer matrix composite materials and their applications
S. Sajan,D. Philip Selvaraj +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a concrete review on composite materials (CMs) and gives the reason why researchers are often fascinated to the world of composite materials are presented. But they focus mostly on the fields of application of Polymer Matrix Composites (PMCs) and Polymers used in PMCs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimization of cutting force of duplex stainless steel in dry milling operation
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of machining variables on the cutting force were analyzed using Taguchi technique, and the results revealed that the feed was the most important variable influencing the cutting forces, followed by spindle speed and axial depth.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of Cutting Speed, Feed Rate and Bulk Texture on the Surface Finish of Nitrogen Alloyed Duplex Stainless Steels during Dry Turning
TL;DR: In this article, the results of experimental work carried out in dry turning of cast duplex stainless steels (ASTM A 995 Grade4A and ASTM A995 Grade5A) using TiC and TiCN coated cemented carbide cutting tools were presented.
