Journal ArticleDOI

Dielectric study: I. Critical phenomena behavior in phase transition of water-in-oil microemulsions

TL;DR: In this article, the dielectric properties of water-in-dodecane microemulsions were studied as a function of the water concentration in the frequency range 16 kHz to 50 MHz.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental Evidence of Interphasal Water in Water-in-Oil Microemulsions

TL;DR: In this article, the role of both water and interphase in governing the microemulsion stability and structural changes upon water addition, is analyzed by means of thermal analysis applied to water-in-oil microemulsions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Low temperature study of w/o microemulsions by differential scanning calorimetry and dielectric measurements

TL;DR: In this article, the temperature dependence of the dielectric constant and loss tangent in parallel with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used to study the low-temperature properties of a w/o microemulsion in the concentration interval (C, mass fraction) 0024 ≤ C < 04, within the temperature range (20°C ÷ -150°C).
Journal ArticleDOI

Perfluorinated surfactants at the perfluoropolyether—water interface

TL;DR: In this paper, short chain alcohols and fluorinated alcohols were used as cosurfactants for the solubilization of PFPE oils, allowing the preparation of a novel class of monophasic, clear, isotropic liquid systems that behave as true microemulsions.
