Proton-antiproton annihilations at rest into π0ω, π0η, π0γ, π0π0, and π0η′
G. Backenstoss,M. Hasinoff,P. Pavlopoulos,J. Repond,L. Tauscher,D. Tröster,P. Blüm,R. Guigas,H. Koch,M. Meyer,H. Poth,U. Raich,B. Richter,L. Adiels,I. Bergström,Kjell Fransson,Andras Kerek,M. Suffert,Konstantin Zioutas +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, the high-energy part of the spectrum was used to deduce branching ratios for the so far unobserved annihilation channels: R(p p →π 0 ω) = (2.38 ± 0.65)%, R( p p → π 0 η ) = (0.82 ± 0.04)% and an upper limit for the π0η′ channel was deduced.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental determination of the branching ratios\(p\bar p \to 2\pi ^0 ,\pi ^0 \gamma \), and 2γ at rest
L. Adiels,G. Backenstoss,I. Bergström,Staffan Carius,Stef. Charalambous,M. D. Cooper,C. Findeisen,D. Hatzifotiadou,M. Hugi,Andras Kerek,H. O. Meyer,P. Pavlopoulos,J. Repond,L. Tauscher,D. Tröster,M. C. S. Williams,Konstantin Zioutas +16 more
TL;DR: The branching ratios of antiproton annihilations into the neutral final states 2π0, π0γ, and 2γ are measured by stopping antiprotons in liquid hydrogen as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
A modular NaI(Tl) detector for 20–1000 MeV photons☆
P. Blüm,R. Guigas,H. Koch,M. Meyer,H. Poth,U. Raich,B. Richter,G. Backenstoss,M. Hasinoff,P. Pavlopoulos,J. Repond,L. Tauscher,D. Tröster,L. Adiels,I. Bergström,K. Fransson,A. Kerek,M. Suffert,Konstantin Zioutas +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, a detector consisting of 54 NaI (Tl) modules is described for the detection of 20-1000 MeV photons, with an energy resolution of 5.5% at 130 MeV.
Journal ArticleDOI
The response of a 5 cm × 20 cm BGO crystal to electrons in the 150 MeV to 700 MeV range
P. Pavlopoulos,M. Hasinoff,J. Repond,L. Tauscher,D. Tröster,M. Rousseau,K. Fransson,T. Alberis,Konstantin Zioutas +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the BGO resolution for high-energy electromagnetic showers was found to be equivalent to that of NaI, and two optically coupled BGO crystals, 5 × cm 2 each, were tested with an electron beam in the energy range from 150 to 700 MeV.
Journal ArticleDOI
π0 and η spectra from\(p\bar p\) annihilations at rest
L. Adiels,G. Alberis,G. Backenstoss,P. Blüm,I. Bergström,Kjell Fransson,R. Guigas,M. Hasinoff,H. Koch,Andras Kerek,M. Meyer,P. Pavlopoulos,H. Poth,U. Raich,B. Richter,J. Repond,M. Suffert,L. Tauscher,D. Tröster,Konstantin Zioutas +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the low-energy part of the π0 spectrum associated with γ(p\bar p) annihilation at rest in order to search for bound baryonium-like states and found that the upper limit for reaching such states via the emission of monochromaticπ0's was 8% per annihilation in the mass region of 1650 MeV.
