Evidence for narrow bound states related to the pp system

TL;DR: In this article, the γ-ray spectrum accompanying the p p annihilation at rest has been measured with a large NaI(Tl) spectrometer with a confidence level of 99.0, 97.5%, and 98.2%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Results of the search for K-series X-rays from kaonic hydrogen

TL;DR: In this paper, the X-ray spectrum associated with K− stopping in liquid hydrogen was measured with high-resolution Si(Li) detectors, and a weak line pattern was found, which was tentatively ascribed to the K− HK-series X-rays.
Journal ArticleDOI

High spin states and neutron multiplicities after pion capture in181Ta and209Bi

TL;DR: In this paper, the absorption of stoppedπ− in181Ta and209Bi has been investigated by studying prompt and delayedγ-ray spectra, and absolute cross-sections for the yield of isotopes per capturedπ−, xn) reactions, as well as the relative probability of populating nuclear states of different spins have been measured for the hafnium and lead isotopes, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Proton-antiproton annihilations at rest into π0ω, π0η, π0γ, π0π0, and π0η′

TL;DR: In this article, the high-energy part of the spectrum was used to deduce branching ratios for the so far unobserved annihilation channels: R(p p →π 0 ω) = (2.38 ± 0.65)%, R( p p → π 0 η ) = (0.82 ± 0.04)% and an upper limit for the π0η′ channel was deduced.
Journal ArticleDOI

Remeasurement of the magnetic moment of the antiproton

TL;DR: In this paper, a high-precision measurement of the finest structure splitting in the circular 11→10 X-ray transition of the Pb was performed and the experimental value of 1199(5) eV was in agreement with QED calculations.
