Journal ArticleDOI
Reversible photo-induced trap formation in mixed-halide hybrid perovskites for photovoltaics
Eric T. Hoke,Daniel J. Slotcavage,Emma R. Dohner,Andrea R. Bowring,Hemamala I. Karunadasa,Michael D. McGehee +5 more
TL;DR: A reversible photo-induced instability has been found in mixed-halide photovoltaic perovskites that limits the open circuit voltage in solar cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Perovskite-perovskite tandem photovoltaics with optimized band gaps
Giles E. Eperon,Giles E. Eperon,Tomas Leijtens,Kevin A. Bush,Rohit Prasanna,Thomas Green,Jacob Tse-Wei Wang,David P. McMeekin,George Volonakis,Rebecca L. Milot,Richard May,Axel F. Palmstrom,Daniel J. Bent,Feliciano Giustino,Laura M. Herz,Michael B. Johnston,Michael D. McGehee,Henry J. Snaith +29 more
TL;DR: This device architecture and materials set will enable “all-perovskite” thin-film solar cells to reach the highest efficiencies in the long term at the lowest costs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cesium Lead Halide Perovskites with Improved Stability for Tandem Solar Cells
Rachel E. Beal,Daniel J. Slotcavage,Tomas Leijtens,Andrea R. Bowring,Rebecca A. Belisle,William H. Nguyen,George F. Burkhard,Eric T. Hoke,Michael D. McGehee +8 more
TL;DR: A semiconductor that can be processed on a large scale with a bandgap around 1.8 eV could enable the manufacture of highly efficient low cost double-junction solar cells on crystalline Si.
Journal ArticleDOI
Surface acoustic wave microfluidics
Xiaoyun Ding,Peng Li,Sz-Chin Steven Lin,Zackary S. Stratton,Nitesh Nama,Feng Guo,Daniel J. Slotcavage,Xiaole Mao,Jinjie Shi,Francesco Costanzo,Tony Jun Huang +10 more
TL;DR: The theory underpinning SAWs and their interactions with particles and the contacting fluids in which they are suspended are discussed, and the SAW-enabled microfluidic devices demonstrated to date are reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Light-Induced Phase Segregation in Halide-Perovskite Absorbers
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the thermodynamic origin and consequences of light-induced phase segregation observed in mixed-halide perovskites and propose that modifying the composition and lattice structure, increasing compositional uniformity, and reducing defect concentrations could significantly improve stability.
