Stability in Gauged Extended Supergravity

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that supergravity theories with gauged SO(N) internal symmetry have ground states with anti-de Sitter background geometry which are stable against fluctuations which vanish sufficiently fast at spatial infinity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Positive Energy in anti-De Sitter Backgrounds and Gauged Extended Supergravity

TL;DR: The energy functional of a field theory with anti-de Sitter background geometry can be positive for scalar potentials which are unbounded below and for vacua corresponding to critical points which are maxima or saddle points as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Renormalization group flows from holography supersymmetry and a c theorem

TL;DR: In this paper, a supersymmetric kink solution in fivedimensional N = 8 gauged supergravity was derived, where the kink interpolates between an exterior anti-de Sitter region with maximal supersymmetry and an interior anti-De Sitter regions with one quarter of the maximal supersymmetry.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modeling the fifth dimension with scalars and gravity

TL;DR: In this article, a method for obtaining solutions to the classical equations for scalars plus gravity in five dimensions is applied to some recent suggestions for brane-world phenomenology, which involves only first order differential equations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Correlation functions in the CFTd/AdSd+1 correspondence

TL;DR: In this article, the 3-point amplitudes for scalar fields of arbitrary mass and gauge fields in the AdS supergravity were calculated explicitly for three gauge fields and compared with the known conformal structure of the SU (4) flavor current correlator of the N = 4, d = 4 SU (N ) SYM theory.
