Journal ArticleDOI

“Nanogranite” and glassy inclusions: The anatectic melt in migmatites and granulites

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that a former anatectic melt can be preserved as tiny (<25 μm) droplets within refractory minerals, in this case garnet.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel heteroaromatic-based multi-branched dyes with enhanced two-photon absorption activity

TL;DR: In this paper, the first examples of heterocycle-based multi-branched dyes with efficient two-photon absorption (TPA) activity are reported; the novel chromophores exhibit large TPA cross sections (as high as 1600 × 10−50 cm4 s photon−1 molecule−1, measured with 150 fs laser pulses at 800 nm).
Journal ArticleDOI

Immiscibility between carbonic fluids and granitic melts during crustal anatexis: A fluid and melt inclusion study in the enclaves of the Neogene Volcanic Province of SE Spain

TL;DR: In this paper, the immiscible graphitic metapelites of El Hoyazo and Mazarron (Spain) have been studied by micro-thermometry, micro-Raman spectroscopy and EMP analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photomodulation of the chiroptical properties of new chiral methacrylic polymers with side chain azobenzene moieties.

TL;DR: It is discovered that it is possible to photomodulate the chiroptical properties of the polymer films by irradiating with circularly polarised light, and the observed effect seems to open new possibilities for the use of azobenzene-containing materials as chiroPTical switches.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stable SHG from in situ grown oriented nanocrystals of [(E)-N,N-dimethylamino-N′-methylstilbazolium][p-toluenesulfonate] in a PMMA film

TL;DR: In this paper, a spin-coated poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) film with 4 wt% of the ionic second order NLO chromophore (DAST), obtained by spincoating of CHCl3-CH3OH (2/1) solutions, showed in situ growth of homogeneously dispersed oriented nanocrystals with sizes of less than 100 nm, as supported by TEM and GIXRD evidence.
