In Vivo Study on the Healing of Bone Defects Treated with Bone Marrow Stromal Cells, Platelet-Rich Plasma, and Freeze-Dried Bone Allografts, Alone and in Combination
Dante Dallari,Milena Fini,Cesare Stagni,Paola Torricelli,N. Nicoli Aldini,Gianluca Giavaresi,Elisabetta Cenni,Nicola Baldini,Annarita Cenacchi,A. Bassi,Roberto Giardino,Pier Maria Fornasari,Armando Giunti +12 more
TL;DR: The combination of FDBA, BMSC and PRP permitted an acceleration in bone healing and bone remodeling processes in rabbits treated with autologous bone marrow stromal cells and freeze‐dried bone allografts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrasound-Guided Injection of Platelet-Rich Plasma and Hyaluronic Acid, Separately and in Combination, for Hip Osteoarthritis: A Randomized Controlled Study
Dante Dallari,Cesare Stagni,Nicola Rani,Giacomo Sabbioni,Patrizia Pelotti,Paola Torricelli,Matilde Tschon,Gianluca Giavaresi +7 more
TL;DR: Results indicated that intra-articular PRP injections offer a significant clinical improvement in patients with hip OA without relevant side effects and the benefit was significantly more stable up to 12 months as compared with the other tested treatments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lights and shadows concerning platelet products for musculoskeletal regeneration.
Matilde Tschon,Milena Fini,Roberto Giardino,Giuseppe Filardo,Dante Dallari,Paola Torricelli,Lucia Martini,Gianluca Giavaresi,Elizaveta Kon,M C Maltarello,Andrea Nicolini,Angelo Carpi +11 more
TL;DR: This review considers and discusses these causes of variability with particular attention to orthopaedic implications and the possibility of improving the knowledge on variables affecting therapeutic efficacy will help in addressing the best combination of factors implied in the different steps of PLT concentrate preparation and use.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adriamycin-methotrexate high dose versus adriamycin-methotrexate moderate dose as adjuvant chemotherapy for osteosarcoma of the extremities: a randomized study.
Gaetano Bacci,Franco Gherlinzoni,Piero Picci,James R. van Horn,Norman Jaffe,Aristide Guerra,Pietro Ruggieri,Roberto Biagini,Rodolfo Capanna,Aldo Toni,Mario Mercuri,Dante Dallari,Mario Campanacci +12 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that in adjuvant treatment of osteosarcoma performed with ADM and MTX the high and the moderate doses of MTX are equally efficacious.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metastatic patterns in osteosarcoma.
TL;DR: In the group of patients treated with adjuvant chemotherapy the development of overt metastatic disease, as compared to non-adjuvant patients, was delayed with time and the number of metastatic nodules in the lung at first relapse was reduced.
