TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a cross-sectional design and convenience sampling to characterize HIV subtypes and resistanceassociated mutations (RAMs) in these groups in Sierra Leone and found that the predominant HIV-1 subtype was CRF02_AG (87.9%, 95/108), with minority variants constituting 12%.

Diagnostic options for pulmonary fungal diseases in Africa

TL;DR: In this paper , a survey of diagnostic service provision in Africa is presented, where the authors report a huge disparity of diagnostic test capability across the African continent, finding that chest X-ray and computed tomography are performed often in 49 countries (98%) and occasionally in 37 countries (74%), and less often in the private sector.
