Journal ArticleDOI

A novel protein complex that interacts with the vitamin D3 receptor in a ligand-dependent manner and enhances VDR transactivation in a cell-free system

TL;DR: The purification of a complex of at least 10 VDR interacting proteins (DRIPs) ranging from 65 to 250 kD that associate with the receptor in a strictly 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3-dependent manner are described, demonstrating the existence of a new complex of novel functional nuclear receptor coactivators.
Journal ArticleDOI

Differential regulation of glucocorticoid receptor transcriptional activation via AF-1-associated proteins.

TL;DR: It is suggested that DRIP150 and DRIP205 functionally link GR AF‐1 and AF‐2, and represent important mediators of GR transcriptional enhancement.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reciprocal recruitment of DRIP/mediator and p160 coactivator complexes in vivo by estrogen receptor.

TL;DR: The in vivo recruitment of other endogenous DRIP subunits to ER in response to estradiol treatment in MCF-7 cells is demonstrated and a cyclic association and dissociation of coactivators with the promoter is observed, suggesting an exchange between these coactivator complexes at the target promoter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional interactions between the estrogen receptor and DRIP205, a subunit of the heteromeric DRIP coactivator complex.

TL;DR: Evidence is presented that a fragment of DRIP205 containing only its receptor interacting region acts to selectively inhibit ER's ability to activate transcription in response to estradiol, suggesting a key role for the DRIP coactivator complex in estrogen-ER signaling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of Metazoan Mediator Proteins in Interferon-Responsive Transcription

TL;DR: The findings indicate that the IFN-activated ISGF3 transcription factor regulates transcription through contact with DRIP150 and implicate the Mediator coactivator complex in IFn-activated gene regulation.
