TL;DR: In this article, the role of perceived typicalness of an outgroup member on her effectiveness in improving evaluations of her group was examined, and support was found for the hypothesis that the more typical member is perceived to be more predictive of the personality and actions of other outgroup members.

Empirical contributions: Predictions of belief homogeneity and similarity following social categorization

TL;DR: In two experiments as mentioned in this paper, subjects were categorized into groups and made predictions about the beliefs of other in-group or out-group members, and the results from the first study supported all but the final hypothesis.
