Effects of Tobacco Smoke on Lung Tissue as measured by Electron Spin Resonance

TL;DR: The method reported here enabled lung tissue to be directly exposed to cigarette smoke in a manner similar to normal smoking and resulted in the observation of distinct changes in the lung tissue as measured by electron spin resonance (ESR).
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetics and Oxygen Requirements of a Light-Induced Electron Spin Resonance Signal from Whole Spinach Chloroplasts

TL;DR: Kinetics and Oxygen requirements of a Light-Induced Electron Spin Resonance Signal from Whole Spinach Chloroplasts are studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Initial damage centers in γ-irradiated α-aminoisobutyric acid

TL;DR: In this paper, a spin resonance measurement of α-aminoisobutyric acid was performed at 77 °K and showed that a strong central absorption line at the center of the absorption line was present.
Journal ArticleDOI

Neutron-embrittlement of steels in nuclear pressure vessels

TL;DR: In this paper, the fracture toughness of nuclear pressure vessel material subjected to various neutron fluences was investigated and the results indicated that the weld material is the weakest part of this vessel, but it should maintain adequate strength to permit operation to the end of the design life.
