Journal ArticleDOI
Real-space imaging with pattern recognition of a ligand-protected Ag 374 nanocluster at sub-molecular resolution
Qin Zhou,Sami Kaappa,Sami Malola,Hui Lu,Dawei Guan,Yajuan Li,Haochen Wang,Zhaoxiong Xie,Zhibo Ma,Hannu Häkkinen,Nanfeng Zheng,Xueming Yang,Xueming Yang,Lan-Sun Zheng +13 more
TL;DR: The authors are able to spatially resolve the sub-molecular surface details of a silver nanocluster by comparing scanning tunneling microscopy images and simulated topography data through a pattern recognition algorithm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photocatalytic CC bond cleavage in ethylene glycol on TiO2: A molecular level picture and the effect of metal nanoparticles
Xianchi Jin,Xianchi Jin,Chao Li,Chenbiao Xu,Dawei Guan,Ajin V. Cheruvathur,Yi Wang,Jian Xu,Dong Wei,Hongwei Xiang,J.W. Niemantsverdriet,Yong-Wang Li,Qing Guo,Zhibo Ma,Ren Su,Xueming Yang +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the photocatalytic polyol conversion on pristine TiO 2 and metal nanoparticles (NPs) decorated TiO2 using ethylene glycol (EG) as the model compound.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diffusion of Formaldehyde on Rutile TiO2(110) Assisted by Surface Hydroxyl Groups
TL;DR: In this article, the diffusion and desorption processes of formaldehyde (HCHO) were investigated by using scanning tunneling microscope (STM) and density functional theory (DFT), which revealed the HCHO molecules could diffuse and desorb on the surface at 80 K under UV laser irradiation.
