Xuewei Chen,Junjun Shang,De-xi Chen,Cailin Lei,Yan Zou,Wenxue Zhai,Guozhen Liu,Jichen Xu,Zhongzhuan Ling,Gang Cao,Bingtian Ma,Yuping Wang,Xianfeng Zhao,Shigui Li,Lihuang Zhu +14 more
TL;DR: The dominant resistance gene Pi-d2, present in the rice variety Digu, confers gene-for-gene resistance to the Chinese blast strain, ZB15, and represents a new class of plant resistance genes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rice Blast Resistance of Transgenic Rice Plants with Pi-d2 Gene
TL;DR: The transgenic embryonic calli selected by the crude toxin of rice blast fungus showed that the callus induction rate of immature embryo from transgenic rice plants decreased as the concentration of crude toxin in the culture medium increased, indicating that the rice blast resistance of transgenic Rice lines is much higher than that of the receptor control.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic Transformation of Rice with Pi-d2 Gene Enhances Resistance to Rice Blast Fungus Magnaporthe oryzae
TL;DR: RP, RT-PCR and Southern-blotting assay showed that the gene of interest had been integrated into rice genome and stably inherited, and some lines with high resistance to rice leaf blast and neck blast were obtained.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic Analysis of Streaked and Abnormal Floret Mutant st-fon
TL;DR: A double mutant with streaked leaf and abnormal floret was found and temporarily named streaked Leaf and floral organ number mutant (st-fon), and genetic analyses carried out by means of cross and backcross with four normal-leaf-color materials revealed that the mutant is of cytoplasm inheritance.
