Journal ArticleDOI

Surfactant Effects on the Structural and Magnetic Properties of Iron Oxide Nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the possible influence of different surfactants on the structure and therefore on the magnetic properties of the iron oxide nanoparticles using the simplest and most efficient chemical route, the coprecipitation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solid‐state polycondensation of poly(ethylene terephthalate) films

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of various reaction parameters such as reaction temperature and time on inherent viscosity and number of carboxy and hydroxy end-groups has been investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effect of preparation method on the catalytic activity of amorphous aluminas in ethanol dehydration

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the known heterogeneous catalytic dehydration of ethanol on amorphous aluminium oxide samples as a measure of catalytic activity and selectivity, and calculated the activation energies of the aluminas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of some current antioxidants on the thermo-oxidative stability of poly(ethylene terephthalate)

TL;DR: In this article, four commercial antioxidants (Naugard 445, Ethanox 330, Irganox 1098 and a blend of irganox1098 and 1019) were added during synthesis of poly(ethylene terephthalate) in order to test their thermo-oxidative stability and eventually to obtain more thermostable products during synthesis and processing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surface properties of aluminium hydroxide gels prepared from pure and mixed aqueous, ethanolic and acetonic media

TL;DR: In this paper, the preparation of aluminium hydroxide gels by precipitation from pure and mixed solvents in the presence of propylamine acting as proton acceptor in the hydrolysis reaction was discussed.
