A Study of Solvent Effects in the Solvolysis of Propargyl Chloroformate
TL;DR: The unequivocal correlation between these two substrates attests that the stepwise association-dissociation (AN + DN) mechanism previously proposed for 2 is also operative in 1 and suggests a bimolecular process with the formation of a tetrahedral intermediate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reactions of 2-Bromo-2-(α-halogenobenzyl)-1-indanones
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and solvolysis of ferrocenylmethyl acetate: A multistep synthesis and kinetics experiment
TL;DR: A series of experiments that exposes students to the synthesis of ferrocenylmethyl acetate, different methods for monitoring a reaction, and the analysis of kinetic data is described in this paper.
