Synthesis of new ‘end-off’ μ-phenoxo and bis-μ-acetato tri-bridged copper(II), nickel(II) and zinc(II) complexes: Spectral, magnetic, electrochemical and catalytic studies
K. Shanmuga Bharathi,A. Kalilur Rahiman,K. Rajesh,S. Sreedaran,P.G. Aravindan,Devadasan Velmurugan,V. Narayanan +6 more
TL;DR: A new end-off type acyclic ligand with two N-methyl piperazine arms, 2,6-bis[(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)]-4-formyl phenol [L], has been synthesized by a simple Mannich reaction as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Active compound from the leaves of Vitex negundo L. shows anti-inflammatory activity with evidence of inhibition for secretory Phospholipase A(2) through molecular docking.
Thangaraj Vinuchakkaravarthy,Kaliya Perumal Kumaravel,Samuthirapandian Ravichandran,Devadasan Velmurugan +3 more
TL;DR: Molecular docking studies were carried out with the X-ray crystal structures of Daboia russelli pulchella's venom sPLA2 and Human non-pancreatic secretory PLA2 (Hnps PLA2) as targets to illustrate the antiinflammatory and antidote activities of TDTBPP.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vibrational and electronic spectral analysis of thymol an isomer of carvacrol isolated from Trachyspermum ammi seed: A combined experimental and theoretical study
TL;DR: In this article, the structure of thymol was established using spectroscopic techniques such as FT-IR, UV and GC-MS method, and the density functional theory calculations were carried out for Thymol and compared with its isomer carvacrol, and electronic properties such as band gap, ionization potential and electron affinities, intermolecular interaction and thermodynamic properties were also simulated and reported for the first time.
Journal ArticleDOI
Celastrol modulates inflammation through inhibition of the catalytic activity of mediators of arachidonic acid pathway: Secretory phospholipase A2 group IIA, 5-lipoxygenase and cyclooxygenase-2.
Vikram Joshi,Shivaprasad H. Venkatesha,Chandrasekaran Ramakrishnan,Ankanahalli N. Nanjaraj Urs,Vilas Hiremath,Kamal D. Moudgil,Devadasan Velmurugan,Bannikuppe S. Vishwanath +7 more
TL;DR: Celastrol modulates inflammatory responses by targeting multiple enzymes of AA pathway by inhibiting the catalytic activity of sPLA2IIA, 5-LOX and COX-2 enzymes.
