Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride-loaded protein, lipid, and chitosan nanoparticles for drug delivery

TL;DR: Results suggest that CS nanoparticles and SLNs can act as promising carriers for sustained ciprofloxacin release in infective conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biodegradable hybrid polymeric membranes for ocular drug delivery.

TL;DR: The ocular inserts prepared by solution casting for sustained drug delivery of ciprofloxacin for treatment of topical infections were non-toxic to corneal epithelial cells and showed no signs of acute ocular toxicity in in vivo studies in albino rabbits.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of polyvinyl alcohol–gelatin membranes for antibiotic delivery in the eye

TL;DR: The study suggests that PVA–gelatin polymeric blends are promising as ocular inserts for prolonged release of antibiotic in the eye as compared to eyedrops.
Journal ArticleDOI

Two-lobe geometrically imperfect hybrid journal bearing operating with power law lubricant

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of journal's geometric imperfections on the performance of a capillary compensated two-lobe hybrid journal bearing system was investigated, and numerically simulated results indicated that non-circularity of bearing and barrel shape irregularity significantly increase the values of S¯zz,C¯zz and ω¯th by a factor 36.47, 51.34 and 18.52%, respectively, with respect to the base bearing (circular ideal journal bearing) operating with non-Newtonian lubricant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combined influence of geometric irregularities of journal and turbulence on the performance of four-lobe hybrid journal bearing:

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of geometric irregularities of journal (barrel type, bellmouth type and undulation type) on the performance of capillary compensated four-lobe multirecess.
