Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and structural characterization of mixed ligand η1-2-hydroxyacetophenone complexes of cobalt(III)
TL;DR: A tridentate Schiff base ligand (LH) has been synthesized from 2-hydroxyacetophenone and 2-dimethylaminoethylamine as discussed by the authors, which forms the neutral complexes [Co(L)(N3){o-(CH3CO)C6H4O}] (1) and [Co[L)(SCN]·1/2H2O (2) in presence of equivalent amount of Co(II) acetate, and sodium azide for 1 and sodium thiocyanate for 2).
Journal ArticleDOI
A new rapid method of air‐drying for scanning electron microscopy using tetramethylsilane
TL;DR: A new rapid air-drying technique which gives results comparable to critical point‐drying is described for scanning electron microscopy, using a trematode parasite, Homalogaster paloniae, as a test specimen.
Journal ArticleDOI
New Cu(II) complexes with polydentate chelating Schiff base ligands: Synthesis, structures, characterisations and biochemical activity studies
Brajagopal Samanta,Joy Chakraborty,Chirantan Roy Choudhury,Subrata Kumar Dey,Dilip Kumar Dey,Stuart Robert Batten,Paul Jensen,Glen P. A. Yap,Samiran Mitra +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of three new Cu(II) complexes of tri-and tetradentate Schiff base ligands containing N3 or N4 donor set along with terminal NNN− or SCN− ligands was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and characterization of diorganotin(IV) complexes of tetradentate Schiff bases: crystal structure of n-Bu2Sn(Vanophen)
Dilip Kumar Dey,Manas Kumar Saha,Mrinal K. Das,Neetu Bhartiya,Raj K. Bansal,Georgina M. Rosair,Samiran Mitra +6 more
TL;DR: The structure of the n-Bu2Sn(Vanophen) was determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction in this paper, where the tin atom has a distorted octahedral coordination, with the Vanophen ligand occupying the four equatorial positions and the nbutyl groups in the trans axial positions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, structure and magnetic properties of a mononuclear Cu(II) complex with a nno donor Schiff base ligand and its oxalato- and oxamidato-bridged dinuclear complexes
Manas Kumar Saha,Dilip Kumar Dey,Brajagopal Samanta,Andrew J. Edwards,William Clegg,Samiran Mitra +5 more
TL;DR: The Schiff base N,N-dimethyl-N′-propylsalicylideneimine (HL) acts as a bidentate as well as a tridentate ligand for copper(II) ions.
