Journal ArticleDOI
Radiation management for interventions using fluoroscopic or computed tomographic guidance during pregnancy: A joint guideline of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe with endorsement by the Canadian Interventional Radiology Association
Lawrence T. Dauer,Raymond H. Thornton,Donald L. Miller,Donald L. Miller,John Damilakis,Robert G. Dixon,M. Victoria Marx,Beth A. Schueler,Eliseo Vano,Aradhana M. Venkatesan,Gabriel Bartal,Dimitrios Tsetis,John F. Cardella +12 more
TL;DR: This research presents a meta-answers to the causes and treatments of central giant cell granuloma, a leading cause of death in women aged 50 andolder, which has implications for both survival and quality of life.
Journal ArticleDOI
Meta-Analysis and Meta-Regression Analysis of Outcomes of Endovascular and Open Repair for Ruptured Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm.
Nikolaos Kontopodis,Nikolaos Galanakis,Stavros A. Antoniou,Dimitrios Tsetis,Christos V. Ioannou,Frank J. Veith,Janet T. Powell,George A. Antoniou,George A. Antoniou +8 more
TL;DR: The outcomes of both EVAR and open surgical repair have improved over the years, and the difference in peri-operative mortality in favour of EVAR has become more pronounced, and there is a significant association between peri -operative mortality and institutional case load for open repair of ruptured AAA.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transcatheter embolisation of iatrogenic renal vascular injuries
Anna Maria Ierardi,Chiara Floridi,Federico Fontana,Ejona Duka,Antonio Pinto,Mario Petrillo,Elias Kehagias,Dimitrios Tsetis,Luca Brunese,Gianpaolo Carrafiello +9 more
TL;DR: Percutaneous treatment can be proposed as a first-line treatment in iatrogenic renal arterial injuries, resulting in a safe and effective procedure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improvement of Patient Eligibility with the Use of New Generation Endografts for the Treatment of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms. A Comparison Study among Currently Used Endografts and literature review.
Nikolaos Kontopodis,George A. Papadopoulos,Nikolaos Galanakis,Dimitrios Tsetis,Christos V. Ioannou +4 more
TL;DR: New generation aortic endografts with innovative proximal sealing mechanisms and ultra-low profile delivery systems are increasing patient eligibility for EVAR.
Journal ArticleDOI
Advancements in identifying biomechanical determinants for abdominal aortic aneurysm rupture
Nikolaos Kontopodis,Eleni Metaxa,Yannis Papaharilaou,Emmanouil Tavlas,Dimitrios Tsetis,Christos V. Ioannou +5 more
TL;DR: The assessment of the peak wall stress, the role of the unique geometry of every individual abdominal aortic aneurysm as well as the mechanical properties and the local strength of the degeneratedAneurysmal wall, all confer to rupture risk.
