Effects of microfractures on permeability in carbonate rocks based on digital core technology

TL;DR: Liu et al. as discussed by the authors proposed a quantitative method for evaluating the impact of different microfracture parameters on carbonate rock permeability and found that the effect of micro-fractures on the digital core permeability was more significant in cores with high permeability compared to that in low-permeability cores.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development and application of a double action acidic emulsion for improved oil well performance: laboratory tests and field trials

TL;DR: In this article, a double-action acid emulsion is proposed for acidizing carbonate reservoirs, which is capable of simultaneously dissolving paraffin deposits and acidizing rocks thus increasing reservoir permeability and porosity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental study of the influence of the content of calcite and dolomite in the rock on the efficiency of acid treatment

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effect of the material composition (content of calcite and dolomite) of carbonate rocks on the efficiency of acid treatments and developed recommendations for the application of acid treatment of oil fields in the Perm Krai (Russia).
Journal ArticleDOI

Numerical simulation of hydraulic fracture height layer-through propagation based on three-dimensional lattice method

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used the Xsite software to simulate the fracture propagation in layered strata under the influence of in-situ stress, rock physical properties, and construction parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of void space of complicated potentially oil-bearing carbonate formation using X-ray tomography and electron microscopy methods

TL;DR: The Vereiskiy reservoir (Perm Region, Russia) is one of the complicated oil-bearing carbonate formations as mentioned in this paper and different methods of investigation (core description, geophysical, X-ray tomography, electron microscopy, well logging, difference parameters, well test, Warren-Root model, etc.) are used for description its rock pore space.
