TL;DR: A systematic review of literature from 1960 to 2008 was performed, and studies were classified according to the American Academy of Neurology classification of evidence scheme for a therapeutic article as mentioned in this paper, which indicated that pregabalin is established as effective and should be offered for relief of diabetic neuropathy (Level A).

TL;DR: This case suggests that the inflammatory process of DM may trigger the pathologic changes of IBM, and treatment with prednisone and methotrexate resulted in complete remission of symptoms.
