Journal ArticleDOI

Whole Exome Sequencing Uncovers Germline Variants of Cancer-Related Genes in Sporadic Pheochromocytoma.

TL;DR: Additional somatic passenger mutations can be associated with known susceptibility VHL, NF1, and RET genes in PCCs, and a wide number of germline variants with still unknown clinical significance can be detected in these patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

The p53-mediated sensitivity of cancer cells to chemotherapeutic agents is conditioned by the status of the retinoblastoma protein.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the p53‐mediated response to chemotherapeutic agents induces a cytostatic/cytotoxic effect only in cancers with unaltered pRb pathway, and the p 53 status can actually predict the clinical outcome in this group of cancer patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of HPV sign Genotyping Test with INNO-LiPA HPV Genotyping Extra assay on histologic and cytologic cervical specimens☆

TL;DR: HPV sign is a promising method for HPV genotyping and has revealed advantages in detecting a broad spectrum of HPV types and variants.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cell Proliferation in Breast Cancer is a Major Determinant of Clinical Outcome in Node-positive but Not in Node-negative Patients

TL;DR: Results show that in breast carcinoma the cell growth fraction and the cell proliferation rate have a different prognostic impact with respect to the lymph node status and are major determinants of clinical outcome in node-positive patients only.
Journal ArticleDOI

Leiomyomatosis in pelvic lymph nodes

TL;DR: A case of leiomyomatosis in obturator lymph nodes, without uterine leIomyomas or disseminated peritoneal leiomers, that occurred in a woman with an endometrial adenocarcinoma and an ovarian endometrioid carcinoma is reported.
