Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation and properties of electroless Ni–P–SiO2 composite coatings
TL;DR: In this paper, dispersive SiO 2 nanoparticles were co-deposited with electroless Ni-P coating onto AISI-1045 steel substrates in the absence of any surfactants in plating bath, and the hardness and wear resistance of the heat-treated composite coatings were measured.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and characterization of superhydrophobic functionalized Cu(OH)2 nanotube arrays on copper foil
Xinhua Chen,Xinhua Chen,Linghao Kong,Dong Dong,Guangbin Yang,Laigui Yu,Jianmin Chen,Pingyu Zhang +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, superhydrophobic functionalized cupric hydroxide (Cu(OH)2) nanotube arrays were prepared on copper foils via a facile alkali assistant surface oxidation technique.
Journal ArticleDOI
Different wetting behavior of alkyl- and fluorocarbon-terminated films based on cupric hydroxide nanorod quasi-arrays
Xinhua Chen,Xinhua Chen,Guangbin Yang,Linghao Kong,Dong Dong,Laigui Yu,Jianmin Chen,Pingyu Zhang +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, it was found that chemical modification with stearic acid (STA) or 1 H, 1 H, 2 H,2 H, 2 H -perfluorodecyltriethriethoxysilane (PDES) led to significant increase in the contact angles of the Cu(OH) 2 nanorod quasi-array film, which could be related to the chemical modification and roughened structure of the film surfaces.
