Journal ArticleDOI
Paraquat-loaded alginate/chitosan nanoparticles: preparation, characterization and soil sorption studies.
Mariana dos Santos Silva,Daniela Sgarbi Cocenza,Renato Grillo,Renato Grillo,Nathalie Ferreira Silva de Melo,Nathalie Ferreira Silva de Melo,Paulo Sergio Tonello,Luciana Camargo de Oliveira,Douglas Lopes Cassimiro,André Henrique Rosa,Leonardo Fernandes Fraceto,Leonardo Fernandes Fraceto +11 more
TL;DR: The results presented in this work show that association of paraquat with alginate/chitosan nanoparticles alters the release profile of the herbicide, as well as its interaction with the soil, indicating that this system could be an effective means of reducing negative impacts caused by paraquats.
Journal ArticleDOI
Loading of praziquantel in the crystal lattice of solid lipid nanoparticles
Ana Luiza R. de Souza,Tatiana Andreani,Fernando M. Nunes,Douglas Lopes Cassimiro,Adelia Emilia de Almeida,Clovis Augusto Ribeiro,Victor Hugo Vitorino Sarmento,Maria Palmira Daflon Gremião,Amélia M. Silva,Eliana B. Souto,Eliana B. Souto +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, solid lipid nanoparticles loaded with PZQ (PZQ-SLN) were prepared by a modified oil-in-water microemulsion method selecting stearic acid as lipid phase after solubility screening studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermal behavior of coffee oil (Robusta and Arabica species)
Marcelo Kobelnilk,Gustavo Guadagnucci Fontanari,Douglas Lopes Cassimiro,Clovis Augusto Ribeiro,Marisa Spirandeli Crespi +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the lipid profile and thermal behavior of the roasted and in nature coffee oil of Arabica and Robusta species, using thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis, derivative thermograves, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and modulated DSC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation and characterisation of Dextran-70 hydrogel for controlled release of praziquantel
Flávio dos Santos Campos,Douglas Lopes Cassimiro,Marisa Spirandeli Crespi,Adelia Emilia de Almeida,Maria Palmira Daflon Gremião +4 more
TL;DR: A hydrogel was developed from 70 kDa dextran (DEX-70) and praziquantel incorporated as a model drug and showed slow release that resulted in controlled release of the drug.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermal characterization of solid lipid nanoparticles containing praziquantel
Adelia Emilia de Almeida,Ana Luiza R. de Souza,Douglas Lopes Cassimiro,Maria Palmira Daflon Gremião,Clovis Augusto Ribeiro,Marisa Spirandeli Crespi +5 more
TL;DR: Univ Estadual Paulista, Dept Farmacos & Med, Fac Ciencias Farmaceut, BR-14801902 Araraquara, SP, Brazil as mentioned in this paper
