Journal ArticleDOI
Loading of praziquantel in the crystal lattice of solid lipid nanoparticles
Ana Luiza R. de Souza,Tatiana Andreani,Fernando M. Nunes,Douglas Lopes Cassimiro,Adelia Emilia de Almeida,Clovis Augusto Ribeiro,Victor Hugo Vitorino Sarmento,Maria Palmira Daflon Gremião,Amélia M. Silva,Eliana B. Souto,Eliana B. Souto +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, solid lipid nanoparticles loaded with PZQ (PZQ-SLN) were prepared by a modified oil-in-water microemulsion method selecting stearic acid as lipid phase after solubility screening studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Discriminating Dissolution Method for Glimepiride Polymorphs
Rudy Bonfilio,Sumaia Araújo Pires,Leonardo M.B. Ferreira,Adelia Emilia de Almeida,Antonio C. Doriguetto,Magali Benjamim Araújo,Hérida Regina Nunes Salgado +6 more
TL;DR: The results suggested that the raw material used to produce glimepiride tablets must be strictly controlled because they may produce undesirable and unpredictable effects and there is a need to develop discriminating dissolution methods that are sensitive to changes in polymorphic forms.
Journal Article
Mutagenic and genotoxic effect of hydroxyurea.
Jean Leandro dos Santos,Priscila Longhin Bosquesi,Adelia Emilia de Almeida,Chung Man Chin,Eliana Aparecida Varanda +4 more
TL;DR: The hydroxyurea induced a significant increase in the frequency of micronuclei in reticulocytes of mice at concentrations of 50, 75 and 100 mg/kg, compared to negative control (water).
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of Practical HPLC Methods for the Separation and Determination of Eggplant Steroidal Glycoalkaloids and their Aglycones
Ritchie C. Eanes,Neslihan Tek,Oykum Kirsoy,Anne Frary,Sami Doganlar,Adelia Emilia de Almeida +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a set of HPLC methods was developed for the separation and determination of the eggplant steroidal glycoalkaloids, solanine, chaconine, solasonine, Solamargine, and their aglycones, solasodine and solanidine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of amfepramone hydrochloride, fenproporex, and diazepam in so-called “natural” capsules used in the treatment of obesity
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple and rapid method was developed for the determination of amfepramone hydrochloride, fenprorex, and diazepam in capsules using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with UV detection.
