Searching for star formation outside galaxies: multiwavelength analysis of the intragroup medium of hickson compact group 100

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used multiwavelength data (H I, FUV, NUV, R) to search for evidence of star formation in the intragroup medium of the Hickson Compact Group 100.
Journal ArticleDOI

Far-ultraviolet number counts of field galaxies

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the FUV number counts computed from FUV imaging of several fields including the Hubble Ultra Deep Field, the Hubble Deep Field North, and small areas within the GOODS-North and South fields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Star-forming regions and the metallicity gradients in the tidal tails: the case of NGC 92

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the physical properties of 20 star-forming complexes in the interacting galaxy NGC 92 and found that the star forming regions located in the tidal tail have ages younger than similar to 8 Myr, suggesting that these objects were formed in situ.
Journal ArticleDOI

Searching for Star Formation Outside Galaxies: Multiwavelength Analysis of the Intragroup Medium of HCG100

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used multiwavelength data (HI, FUV, NUV, R) to search for evidence of star formation in the intragroup medium of the Hickson Compact Group 100.
