Journal ArticleDOI

The anodic dissolution of iron—X. Etching-dependent behaviour of annealed iron in moderately acid to neutral chloride solutions

TL;DR: In this paper, the same reaction scheme was used for the anodic dissolution reactions of iron and also with the type of effects which can be expected to arise from etching, with the differences being due to different rds and adsorption patterns of an intermediate for the two reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anodic and cathodic behaviour of tin in alkaline solution

TL;DR: In this article, the anodic and cathodic behavior of tin in alkaline solution has been investigated in order to determine the conditions for electrolytic detining of tinplate, and the diffusion-controlled limiting cds for deposition of tin are ig = 160.
Journal ArticleDOI

Theory for the Stress Corrosion Cracking of Ductile Iron Alloys Based on a Model for the Anodic Dissolution Reactions of Pure Iron

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a model for the kinetics of the anodic dissolution of iron and showed that SCC will be limited to a potential region comprising the upper end of a transition between two dissolution reactions, which will depend on the nature of anions or molecules present in the electrolyte solution.
