Journal ArticleDOI

Unusual hydrogen bonds with a hydride atom in boron hydrides acting as proton acceptor. spectroscopic and theoretical studies

TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction of different proton donors with ionic (Bu4NBH4) and neutral (BH3NEt3, BH3P(OEt)3) boron hydrides was studied by IR and NMR spectroscopy in solution (CH2Cl2, C6H14, and C6D12).
Journal ArticleDOI

In-depth NMR and IR study of the proton transfer equilibrium between [{(MeC(CH2PPh2)3}Ru(CO)H2] and hexafluoroisopropanol

TL;DR: In this article, the (carbonyl)dihydride complex (triphos)Ru(CO)H2] (2) has been synthesized by reaction of the ruthenate [(triphson)RuH3]K (Triphos = MeC(CH2PPh2)3) with ethanol saturated with CO.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crown Compounds for Anions: Sandwich and Half-Sandwich Complexes of Cyclic Trimeric Perfluoro-o-phenylenemercury with Polyhedral closo-[B10H10]2− and closo-[B12H12]2− Anions

TL;DR: X-ray diffraction studies of 3 and 5 have revealed that these compounds have unusual sandwich structures, in which the polyhedral di-anion is located between the planes of two molecules of 1 and is bonded to each of them through two types of B-H-Hg bridges.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dihydrogen bonding of decahydro-closo-decaborate(2−) and dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborate(2−) anions with proton donors: experimental and theoretical investigation

TL;DR: In this paper, the BH⋯HO hydrogen bonding between the boron hydrides and the OH proton donors in solution was investigated in low polarity media and the site of coordination for [B 10 H 10 ] 2− and [B 12 H 12 ] 2 − was found to be hydride hydrogen.
